Sunset in Black and White

A few weeks ago I went out chasing the light again until the last possible moment before it can no longer be seen. This tends to be quite the challenge when you live in the city and have many buildings in your way, so often I look a little strange running around the block from place to place trying to capture just the right setting.

This collection here is my favourite to date. It’s so tempting to keep these golden hour pictures in colour since they portray just that; beautiful, warm, golden light bathing itself over everything it touches. However, I’ve been overly obsessed with black and whites lately (as you may know from previous posts) and particularly enjoy the challenge of making a black and white equally as interesting and pleasing to the eye as the colour version. Here are my black and whites from my last sunset adventure.

Taken with my Nikon D750 and a 50mm f/1.8 lens.
